Getting back into the early morning routine Monday mornings aren’t always the easiest thing to do, but I feel like since I spend Saturdays only running and I take Sunday’s off, I look forward to hitting weights on Monday. I had a great workout this morning, really working on being explosive with my reps with lighted weight. Today’s workout will be below.

Back and Biceps (Explosiveness)

  • 2 Mile run – kept a steady pace between @ 6.5 Mph for the first 1.5 miles and then cranked it up to 7.5 for the last .5 mile

  • Weights (Supersets)
    • 4×10 One arm Cable curls
      • 4×10 reps of dumbbell shoulder press
    • 4×10 one arm cable rows (each arm)
      • 4×10 dumbbell bicep curls
    • 4×10 one arm cable lateral raises
      • 4×10 arnold press
    • 4×10 cable bicep curls
      • 4×10 bentover dumbbell rows
    • 4×10 cable pull downs (focus on lats)
      • 4×10 hammer curls
    • 4×10 face pulls

  • Abs
    • 2×20 weighted toe touches – 45 lb plate
    • 2×10 weighted leg raises – 45 lb plate
    • 2×10 weighted oblique dips (each side) – 45 lb plate
    • One round of the following:
      • 30 seconds high plank
      • 30 Seconds elbow plank
      • 30 seconds right side plank
      • 30 seconds left side plank
      • 30 seconds pike ups

  • Stretch – 5 minutes

  • Mental Well being: Good, felt eh by dinner time.
  • Mental Well being notes: I think on days when I am not as busy, my mood drops. Either its from not interacting with people or a lack of fulfilment. Was also bothered by our front house lights not working anymore and trying to figure out how to fix it. Small stuff like that really gets under my skin for some reason. Happy we had dinner with friends to pick up the mood by bed time.
