Today’s…

workout of the day, we are going to be doing a high intensity cardio and full body workout. This workout will also be low impact, to give our joints a break.

Cardio Round 1…

Consists of a 10 minute circuit on the stair master. Use the first minute to warmup the body and then crank up the intensity for the next 4 minutes. Increase the intensity even more for 4 more minutes before ending it with a 1 minute cool down.

Full Body Circuit 1…

The full body workout is a low impact workout but still designed to get your heart rate up and get that burn going. We will also incorporate stairs into this circuit. If you do not have access to stairs, you can either jump rope for 30 seconds, run in place, or do burpees.

Cardio Round 2…

For our second round of cardio we are going to hit the treadmill for a 8 minute run. If you want to challenge yourself, feel free to play around with the incline and the speeds throughout the 8 minutes.

Abs…

We are going to do a 4 round circuit of 3 different exercises to get those abs nice and sore. Incorporate weights into these exercises to increase the intensity and to also build bigger and stronger muscles.

Stretch

To end the workout, stretch out those muscles to prevent soreness and injury. Recovery is the most important part after working out, so make sure to take care of your body and it will take care of you. Stretch it out for a total of 10 – 15 minutes depending on how much time you have.

Less Intense Version:

The goal with the less intense versions is to scale the workout back so someone who might just be starting to workout would be able to complete the workouts. If you find the less intense versions becoming too easy for you, but you cannot still do the full tailored option, I would suggest doing a mix of the 2. The best way to see results is to challenge yourself each and every day.
