Today we are going to do a cardio workout to give our bodies a break from some weight training. This cardio workout will take about 50 minutes to complete and should burn anywhere from 500 – 700 calories.

I wanted to incorporate a 5k into our workout this week to see if running a mile a day is starting to pay off. A 5k is about 3.106 miles, and given that we run a mile almost everyday, this should not be to hard of a challenge for us.

You can never go wrong with stairmaster. This is a great exercise, especially if you do not do it often. For the first 2-4 minutes start off slow to get into the grove of it. Then I would start to increase the speed to challenge yourself and heart rate up.

Having a strong core is essential when it comes to exercise. It can improve how well your arms and legs function along with enhancing your balance and stability. You should feel a good burn when doing this ab circuit. Try to isolate those muscles as much as possible.
