Get Bigger, Faster, and Stronger with this High Intensity Lower Body Workout

Today’s…

workout of the day, we are going to be doing a Half Marathon Strength Leg Day Training. This is a great lower body workout that will work on strength and cardio, to help build lean muscle and get you ready for your half marathon.

Cardio Round 1…

For today’s cardio, we are going to be doing a 2 mile run on the treadmill or outside. This is a lighter run then what we had 2 days ago but in preparation of our longer run this weekend.

Weights…

For our Weights today we are going to be focusing on barbell squat and barbell front squat. Take the first 3-4 sets to warm up and then get into your primary 5 sets or 4 sets on front squat. Be sure to challenge yourself and increase the weight throughout the sets.

Abs:

We will do a quick 3 round ab circuit where we will do high plank for a minute each round.

Cardio Round 2:

For the second round of cardio today, we will hit the stairmaster for 10 minutes. This is a great way to end the workout and give yourself a good sweat before stretching out.

Stretch

To end the workout, stretch out those muscles to prevent soreness and injury. Recovery is the most important part after working out, so make sure to take care of your body and it will take care of you. Stretch it out for a total of 10 – 15 minutes depending on how much time you have.
