Week 6 Wrap-up

Congratulations on surviving a week (really 6 days) of no sweets! Eliminating sweets from your diet removes an excess of processed sugar from your body. Process sugar is not good for your health and can lead to numerous diseases. The average American consumes over 3 times the recommended daily amount (25 g a day). Keeping an eye on your sugar intake is key to good health.

Week 7 Challenge

This is going to be the hardest challenge for everyone, including myself. This week is Alternative energy which means NO CAFFEINE!

JUST KIDDING – I originally wanted to do this but if you aren’t going to try to stop for good, what’s the point of having a week full of headaches?

Instead ,we are going to put our attention on drinking water throughout the day! I feel like this is an area where we all slack, especially if you get caught up in something at work and totally forget to drink water.

Here are some health benefits of drinking water throughout the day!

  1. It lubricates your joints
  2. It delivers oxygen throughout the body
  3. It boosts skin health
  4. Cushions the brain, spinal cord, and other sensitive tissues
  5. Regulates body temperature

What do we mean by this?

For this challenge we want you to take your body weight and cut it in half.  That is the amount in ounces of water you should drink every day this week! For example, if you weigh 200 pounds, you would drink 100 ounces of water every day this week.

How to get points for it?

Next time you are at home, work, or at the gym, take a picture of your water bottle and put it on your Instagram or Facebook story, tagging us!

Get out there and stay hydrated this week!

ALSO

If you ordered a Top Tier T-Shirt, they should be here by the end of the week! If you ever have any questions, please reach out to us!
