Today’s workout is going to be a low impact and high intensity leg circuit workout. If you workout at the Dowd YMCA, I did this workout in the stairwell that leads up to the rooftop track. On each platform in the stairwell I did a different exercise. Checkout the workout below!

  • 10 Run to warm up
  • Do 5 rounds of the following circuit in the stair well and turf track:
    • On the turf track, sprint to the other side and back
    • In the stairwell on the top platform, 10 kettle bell swings
    • Go down one platform, 10 medicine ball squat throws
    • Go down one platform, 20 lunges (10 each leg)
    • Go down one platform, 10 air squats
    • Go down on platform, 20 calf raises
    • Run all the way back to the top

If you don’t have access to a stairwell or to a track, turn this into a high intensity circuit. Replace going down a platform with running in place for 5 seconds and replace the running back to the top with running in place for 20 seconds.

Less intense version:

  • 10 jog or walk to warm up
  • Do 3 rounds of the following circuit:
    • 10 kettle bell swings
    • 10 medicine ball squats
    • 20 lunges (10 each leg)
    • 10 air squats
    • 20 calf raises
